Join Daily Goods Design LABS at the Ontario Science Centre and celebrate the Summer of Space with us at the Ontario Science Centre! Co-create with us future vehicles and transportation that people really need. We'll share with you what a connected and autonomous vehicle is and have you explore with us through simple prototyping techniques who, when, and why people may need and use these vehicles in the first place. Come build a paper and/or cardboard prototype and learn how to start the design process with us!
Join Daily Goods Design LABS at the Ontario Science Centre and celebrate the Summer of Space with us at the Ontario Science Centre! Learn the basics of our design process and simple prototyping techniques to create future devices and wearables. You will choose from a variety of form factors (shapes and sizes); think about what features you'd like your device or wearable to have based on how you communicate; entertain and plan out the things you want to do on earth and in space. Come build a paper and/or cardboard prototype and learn how to start the design process with us!
Co-create within our MakerSpace, vehicles that people really need. Daily Goods Design LABS (DGDL) will help visitors understand what a connected and autonomous vehicle is; who these will be useful for; and when, where and why people may use these in the first place. Using our KitVehicle, develop your own design to test and share with others.
Join DGDL to co-create how devices and wearables can communicate with future vehicles. You, the participant, decide what is the right shape and size of device and wearable suitable for someone based on scenarios we explore together. We will use our KitDevices and KitWearables kits to help participants learn, and create their own designs.
See how DGDL uses the modular design process to achieve future forward, versatile and adaptable garments. You will decide what is the right shape and size of garment suitable for someone based on scenarios we explore together. To guide the activity we will use either the DGDL LabCoat, DGDL Handbag or DGDL Garment as the starting point for your modifications. Come co-create with us!
Co-create with DGDL as we continue with the next version of the Sunshine Garment by discussing, sketching and prototyping using our design process. To guide the activity we will use our Sunshine Garment v1.0 as a jumping off point for exploring a better, more useful product. You, the participant, will try on and/or give us feedback on the garment. Then, you will sketch out a new version based on the scenarios we’ve explored together.
